Poker KingSynopsis: Randy (Louis Koo) has never been a fan of his family's casino business. This changes when one day he gets a taste of Texas Hold 'Em Poker over the Internet. It's a game of luck, skills and wits. Once Randy is deemed unfit to handle the conglomerate, Uno (Lau Ching Wan) can then fully assume the position and take over the business for himself. Uno gives Randy a chance at redemption - a winner-takes-all poker match between the two.
My views: i think this movie rocks! it's mad hilarious, quote a thing or two from the show, "看你穿着黑色 bra, 请你吃块哈密瓜" but personally, i find that it's more of the unrealistic kind, while the movie "Rounders" (1998) is the realistic kind. both shows are awesome, i strongly recommend poker fans to watch them. & as for non-poker/WSOP fans, during the last part where Johnny Chan makes his guest appearance, please do not go "Who the hell is Johnny Chan?", because that's what people who sat behind us said, loudly even. we (the cbks, hardcore WSOP/poker fans), just had to laugh at their imbecility. so now that you've read my blog, you know who is Johnny Chan, but i think the movie exaggerated it, he's a two-time WSOP winner if i got my facts right.
Ratings: 4.5 out of 5! It's super worth watching!
